One of these specialists is Florin Nacu (37), a Pipe Fitter at Veritec Yachts. We asked him what it’s like to work for Veritec, what he enjoys most about his job, and what his most memorable project was.
A creative craftsman with a passion for technology
Florin comes from Romania and has always had a passion for technology and challenges. Besides working as a pipe fitter, he has a competitive mindset and enjoys fitness. However, it’s the technical challenges that truly motivate him every day.
Florin: “What do I love most about my job? No day is the same! Every day brings something new, and that makes working at Veritec so exciting. I’m constantly learning and discovering new techniques I’ve never used before.”
A flying start at Veritec Yachts
Florin started his journey at Veritec on May 25, 2023. He heard about the company through friends and decided to apply. “After my application, I was quickly contacted by a Veritec employee for an interview about my skills. Shortly after, I received confirmation that I was hired and immediately got all the details, including my plane ticket and work instructions,” Florin shares.
Upon arriving in the Netherlands, Florin was guided by a Romanian colleague from Veritec. “That helped tremendously. He ensured a smooth introduction to the shipyard, making me feel welcome right away.”
Teamwork and challenges at the shipyard
As a pipe fitter at Veritec, Florin installs complex piping systems in luxury yachts. This requires precision and craftsmanship. “The best part of my job is working with the team. Together, we ensure that every project is delivered at the highest level,” says Florin.
A typical workday? “Each day starts with planning our tasks and gathering the right materials. Then, we carefully install the pipes, always prioritizing safety and quality.”
The coolest project: Oceanco Alblasserdam
Of all the projects Florin has worked on, one stands out: a large-scale project at Oceanco in Alblasserdam.
Florin: “This was the biggest and most luxurious project I’ve ever worked on. The scale, the complexity, and the final result made it a unique experience. Here, you truly see how craftsmanship and innovation come together to create something extraordinary.”

Florin is very satisfied with his work at Veritec, but if he could change one thing, it would be the appearance of the work equipment. “Maybe they could improve the look of the equipment a bit. But other than that, everything is perfectly arranged!”
