Working as a pipefitting supervisor in yacht building: Valentin’s story at Veritec

In luxury yacht building, everything revolves around people who know their craft. People who take responsibility for what they build and who work every day on technology that cannot be faultless.

“I always try to push my own boundaries.”

Valent Berbece, a pipefitting supervisor from Romania, has been working on projects in the Dutch yacht building industry through Veritec for about six years. With his experience and eye for quality, he manages teams daily and ensures that installations meet the highest standards.

Craftsmanship with ambition

Valentin describes himself as someone who wants to keep growing continuously. “I always try to push my own boundaries,” he says. And that drive is reflected in his work, but also outside of it. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He is married and has one child.

The choice to work in technology was a natural one for him. “I work in a field I enjoy. That makes me go to work with pleasure every day.” It is precisely the combination of challenge and development that makes yacht building interesting to him. “In this sector, there is always a new challenge. That makes you better at what you do.”

Responsible for quality

As a pipefitting supervisor, Valentin is responsible for directing work and monitoring quality. His goal is clear: to ensure that both the client and the customer are satisfied with the end result.

His workday is varied and depends on the project. “No day is the same,” he explains. “That makes the work interesting and ensures that you keep learning.” It is precisely this variety and the responsibility to perform at a high level that give him satisfaction.

A conscious choice for Veritec

Valentin came into contact with Veritec through a colleague. And the decision to work together was made quickly. “I heard from other colleagues that Veritec is a serious company. That gave me confidence.”

The process leading up to his first assignment also went smoothly. “Everything was arranged quickly and professionally. Even before I started, I received clear explanations and guidance.” What appeals to him most? The combination of quality and support. “The service and support make all the difference for me.”

Working on top-level projects

One of the highlights of his work is the projects on the most luxurious yachts. “There you work with the highest quality standards,” Valentin explains. “That demands a lot from you, but that is precisely what makes it special.”

For him, the challenge lies not only in the technical aspects but also in continuously improving his own skills. “I enjoy learning new things and applying them immediately in my work. That is how I keep developing myself.”

Committed and professional

If he had to describe Veritec in three words, he would choose: “seriousness, professionalism, and performance.” For him, those are not empty words, but qualities he sees reflected daily in the collaboration.

When asked if he would recommend Veritec, he is clear: “Absolutely!”

Working on the most beautiful yachts in the world

The yacht building industry requires professionals who take responsibility, deliver quality, and want to keep growing. People like Valentin, who contribute to projects of the highest level with their knowledge and dedication.
