Working as an Aluminium Plater and Team Leader in Yacht Building: Ciprian’s Story at Veritec

In luxury yacht building, everything revolves around people who take responsibility for what they create. People who deliver quality, support their teams and contribute every day to projects where craftsmanship is at the heart of everything.

“Every day brings a new challenge.”

Ciprian-Lucian Flutur (46), an aluminium plater and team leader from Romania, has been working through Veritec in the Dutch yacht building industry since January 2022. Based at Gouwerok in Aalsmeer, he leads his team on a daily basis and contributes to the production of aluminium sections for luxury yachts.

Craftsmanship with Responsibility

Ciprian describes himself as a dedicated and serious person, both professionally and in his personal life. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing and swimming. He is also married and the proud father of two children.

For him, choosing a career in yacht building still feels like the right decision every day. “Working in aluminium yacht building is always a challenge,” he explains. And it is precisely that challenge that motivates him. No project is the same and every assignment brings new situations and opportunities to learn.

Building Aluminium Sections for Luxury Yachts

As an aluminium plater and team leader, Ciprian combines technical work with managing colleagues. He is responsible for leading his team while overseeing the production of aluminium components that eventually become part of luxury yachts.

What he enjoys most about his work is the variety. “Every day is different and never boring, especially when you work alongside colleagues who have become friends.” That combination of teamwork, responsibility and technical expertise is what motivates him to start every working day with enthusiasm. “From the beginning of the day until the end, I see every day as a new challenge.”

Starting His Journey Through Veritec

Ciprian first came into contact with Veritec through Veritec Romania. Since joining in January 2022, he has been working on projects within the Dutch yacht building industry.

When asked what convinced him to work through Veritec, he does not hesitate: “Trust and continuity of projects.” He also values the employment conditions, accommodation and the support provided around his work. According to Ciprian, these are important factors that set Veritec apart from other employers.

A Moment to Be Proud Of

Of all the projects Ciprian has worked on, one moment stands out. Together with his team, he worked on the construction of a yacht that was eventually launched into the water. A special milestone, because launching a yacht comes with a great deal of responsibility.

“Launching a yacht is a big responsibility.” That is exactly why this project remains one of his most memorable experiences. It was the moment when months of hard work came together and the team’s efforts became visible for everyone to see.

Committed and Future-Focused

How would Ciprian describe Veritec? He chooses three words: realistic, reliable and future-focused. According to him, these qualities are reflected in the way the company operates and supports its employees.

When asked whether he would recommend Veritec to others, his answer is clear: “Yes.” The reason is simple. He sees Veritec as a serious company that delivers on its promises.
