What do you like the most about working at a shipyard?
The clean workspace at the shipyard. And the team spirit! All the guys are friendly and everybody helps you out with useful advice on the job. The team leaders and supervisors are also very friendly and careful.

Which project are you most proud of?
I’m proud of our last project, Ship 707. It was a beautiful experience to work on this ship.
What is the most challenging part in your daily job?
The most challenging part is when I have to build something like a big frame for electrical boxes. I have to calculate a lot of angles and have to weld many different parts. It is very satisfying when I complete such complex tasks successfully.
Which skills do you need to be a successful craftsman in yacht and shipbuilding?
You need to be a good listener, a mathematical type of person and someone who can handle stress. In my job you also need to have good technical skills. Extra things that help and stimulate you to be successful in this job, are a good salary and good conditions to work safe.
